Large grass-like shrub with large strappy green leaves and large red spider flowers on long stems. Attractive feature plant in native gardens, and is very hardy. Native to the Illawarra and Sutherland Shire.
Height: Foliage to about 1.5m, flower spikes can reach to about 3m high.
Width: to 2m.
Position: Full sun or part shade. Will tolerate protected or exposed sites.
Flowers: Large red spider-like flowers sitting atop a tall flower spike.
Hardiness: Very hardy. Salt, pollution and drought tolerant.
