A hardy native shrub or tree with dark leathery leaves and delicate small white or pink flowers with fringed petals, followed by small blue berries which are bird attracting. Can be used as a street tree, specimen tree, tall hedge or large tub plant.
Height: 4-8m depending on pruning.
Width: 2-3m.
Position: Full sun or part shade, moist well-drained soil.
Flowers: Small white or pink flowers with fringed petals, followed by small blue bird-attracting berries.
Hardiness: Hardy to drought, most soil types. Will tolerate light frosts once established.
Care: an occasional prune will keep the canopy nice and dense.
