Large fast-growing shrub with blue flowers and mid green leaves. Useful hedging plants, will tolerate some shade. The flowers appear on new growth and are butterfly-attracting.

Position: Full sun or part shade.
Flowers: Pale blue flowers borne on new growth. There is also a white form and a deep blue form in cultivation.
Hardiness: Tolerates light frosts, periods of drought and poor soils. Useful in coastal areas as it is salt tolerant.
Care: Prune in late winter to encourage new growth which will bear flowers. Tip prune regularly to keep in check. Can be cut back hard if necessary.
