Light green small leaves ageing to mid green and dense growth habit. Relatively slow-growing so requires less maintenance, though is faster growing than other box hedges. Can tolerate a fair amount of shade but will be less dense and slower growing.

Position: Full sun to shade.
Flowers: inconspicuous.
Growth rate: Slow to moderate.
Hardiness: Tolerates light frosts. Where heavy frosts occur, English Box is more suited.
